From Mrs. Player

Hi! My name is Player Waldron---I am a licensed teacher with experience at all grade levels and subjects. I have taught in both special and regular-ed classrooms in Pitt, Wake, and Carteret Counties and have been tutoring students (both with and without disabilities) since high school!

Having grown up with my own learning differences, I understand the difficulties children can face and how there is never a one-size-fits-all solution. That is what makes my tutoring different---every one of my "pupils" has their own individual way of learning and retaining; my job is to identify and reinforce it! I take the time to really get to know my students, to understand how they learn, so we can then focus on what they learn in the classroom.

My students' learning is my passion. I love being able to work with students of all ages and skill levels on a variety of subjects, with my more personalized setup. Creating a bond and earning trust are just as important to me as learning, however. I want my sessions to be a safe space for my pupils to feel comfortable, to ask questions and grow without fear or judgment.

I started this tutoring platform on my own (without the backing of a big company) because I wanted to provide a certain combination that I feel is lacking--- and what I consider most important, but often neglected---affordability, flexibility and personalization for the student.
